Most
of us know that the number of prospects who actually succeed in an
online mlm business is far lower that the number of those who
fail. That could explain why many so called experts will try
almost every method or every trick in the book to have you sign up
for their programs. Truth is, this kind of misleading headlines
and statements is responsible for a lot of the online marketing
attitude -including exaggeration/hype.
1. No Recruiting Required/We Advertise For You
Mlm programs depend on recruiting people. That's how they work. If
that was the case and no recruiting was involved, then what would
they need you for? If it was that easy everyone would be making
money by now, but as you probably know, it's not the case. And
don't think that only stupid people fall for that kind of trick.
Randomizer programs are so guilty of using this statement.
2. Generate Phenomenal Residual Cash Flow
This is a statement that creates a feeling of security to a
prospect's mind. And come to think of it, it's not a lie! It just
allows you to think that it will happen tomorrow, when it
really means that you'll be building your business for another 10
years or so. Internet marketers have such a way with words that
it's hard for you to say no, and by the time you realize that it's
going to take a long time to be in profit, you have maxed out all
your credit cards.
3. Boost Your Sales Through The Roof
This headline gives you the impression that all it takes for you
to become successful and sell on the net is this piece of
information/software/program/e-book that this internet marketer is
trying to sell you. Not a word about the real work involved! It
sounds as if your business will run on auto pilot after you click
and sales will start filling your Paypal account the next day. Not
a chance!
4. Flood-in Prospects Automatically
I guess you don't need me to tell you that all you have to do is
sit back and watch your downline grow bigger every day. Prospects
will just come rushing through the door and actually beg you to
let them join your opportunity. This headline hides all the work
involved to attract the right prospects for your business.
5. This Program is New, Hot/You Must Sign Up Now/We Reserved a
Top Spot for you, don't miss it/100 people signed up as gold level
in your organization, don't let another gold member pass you by
So if I wait for several weeks while I do my research, this
program won't work anymore, or I will lose valuable sales,
downlines and so on. Please give me a break! The sense of urgency
is a very powerful hypnotic sales technique that most newbies
don't know about, so they fall for it.
6. You are literally guaranteed to be in profit within x number
of days.
Oh goody, I will finally be in profit after a month, so what about
after that, how much money will I earn? Will I still be in profit
then? They won't tell you that because they cannot guarantee that.
You need to do your own due diligence.
In conclusion, these statements are so powerful that they really
play with your mind without you even knowing it. You have to
search deep to find the truth they're keeping from you. The rule
here is : don't believe everything you see, hear or read because
these headlines usually have only one goal. To entice the
prospects to join. If you ask me, they do more damage than good to
one's dreams and hopes.
